Guidelines:

1. As usual all community rules and meme guidelines apply to this mini-fest. Yes, you're welcome to fill prompts with fanworks other than fanfiction! Fills can be as diverse as: cartoons, drabbles, icons, banners, vids, 5 sentence fic, epic tales (but see guidelines Re: WIPs), etc.


2. This meme is NOT anonymous, which means that you should will be prompting, filling prompts, and commenting on fills with you LJ username (or other open id).


3. Please only include one prompt per comment, but feel free to leave as many prompts as you wish.


4. We welcome all sorts of prompts; from Gen, to rare pairs, background characters coming to the forefront (hey Todd), pwp, kink, kid!fic, angst, fluff, AU, or your favorite OTP.


5. Multiple fills per request are fine, but please do try to fill unfilled prompts as well.


6. When filling a prompt, please post any necessary warnings at the beginning of your post.


7. The meme will run for four weeks (until October 29th at 11:59 PM EST).

How to Prompt/Fill:

Prompts should look like this:
  character(s)/pairing, prompt

Fills (made as a reply to the original prompt) should use a header including:
  FILL - title, character/pairing, rating and warnings (if applicable), [Part # / #] (if applicable)

• (*Note that fanworks requiring more than one comment due to length should include the header in each new comment with the appropriate part number)


• (*If you need to post your fanwork in multiple parts, please make Part Two a comment to Part One, etc) [please note that you cannot have over 650 words in your comment. FILL - Hopeless, Brian/Justin, 5 years into their relationship, they finally have their first proper date, Warnings: mostly fluffy silliness...a bit of 'twist' on the prompt.

It was all a setup.

He should have known this was not Brian's doing. It was one thing for Brian to randomly buy him a house and propose marriage, but it was altogether another thing for him to actually plan a *cough* romantic *cough* date night.

The other day when he got home from the studio, he found a single yellow tulip on the kitchen table that had a note saying he should meet Brian at 7pm on Friday night at Crave. He knew Brian was in town for business, but so far they hadn't had a chance to connect.

"I'm so glad you picked my new favorite restaurant," Justin gushed after embracing Brian when he got to the table.

Brian quirked his eyebrow, a mildly confused look on his face, but then quickly schooled his features once he realized what might be going on. He wasn't sure if he should kill Daphne or buy her some expensive thank-you present. Really, it all depended on Justin's reaction when he found out the truth.

"Of course. Only the best for my Sunshine," he teased. "Look, I have to be honest. I didn't exactlyplan this date. We've been setup... by Daphne."

A thousand emotions rushed through Justin's mind: surprise, confusion, irritation, exasperation, relief, understanding, love... He reached across the table, holding onto to Brian's hand. "Thank you for being honest with me.

"Now, are you gonna help me get back at Daphne?" Justin wore a huge devious smile that Brian couldn't help grinning back at.

They schemed all through calamari appetizers and a bottle of red, but all they could come up with was making out and fucking all over the apartment while Daph was there or likely to catch them in the act. However, they didn't think that was very revengeful as she would probably end up enjoying it all a little too much.

"Shit. I think we're losing our touch." Brian lamented.

"Oh! Hey! I bet the best way to get back at her is to not say anything at all. She'll probably burst at the seams wanting to gloat about her awesome 'plan' for our date."

"Well aren't you just a clever devil."

Justin rolled his eyes. "And you're ridiculous. Let's just get dessert to go and we can get started on ignoring Daph while not sharing our cheesecake with her."

"You're having way too much fun with this now. Don't you think you owe her your debt of gratitude for finally getting a chance to go on a 'real' date with me. I'm quite the catch, I'll have you know."

"So what, now you're defending her? Betrayed by my best friend AND my boyfriend in the same night." Justin of course was only feigning the queen out, but it was fun joking around about it.

"Are you done?"

Justin nodded and Brian leaned in, kissing him deeply and hoping it would distract him enough to forget about Daphne's demise for a while.

A/N: The meaning of yellow tulips has evolved somewhat, from once representing hopeless love to now being a common expression for cheerful thoughts and sunshine... so the sentiment works either way...
